Final coat for resin?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Can I use KBS Diamond Finish ClearCoat for adding a protective heat proof layer to an epoxy resin finished table?

I am trying to prevent damage to the resin if things like hot coffee mugs, ornaments are placed on it.

Should I be polishing the clear coat after applying or polishing the resin?

Many thanks for the help

DiamondFinish Clear goes over fully cured epoxy extremely well. No issues at all. Be sure the surface is clean.

DiamondFinish Clear is good to 300F and for a table that is perfect. Hot mugs will be well under that temperature.

DiamondFinish Clear can be cut and polished as a normal clear coat after 24 hours under normal conditions. In your application, you would polish the DiamondFinish Clear.

Please review carefully the DiamondFinish Clear Directions.
