Guest Posted July 18, 2016 Report Posted July 18, 2016 I coated my diesel tank yesterday with Tank Sealer. I want to put another coat of Tank Sealer in my tank to make sure everything is coated well. Would this be a good idea? Quote
KBS Coatings Posted July 19, 2016 Report Posted July 19, 2016 The Tank Sealer does not usually stick to itself, so we recommend taking your time with the Tank Sealer application step to make sure you get all sides evenly coated. If you really desire to put more Tank Sealer in your tank, allow the Tank Sealer to cure at least 4 days, pour some Fusion Self-Etch Primer in the tank, roll the tank around so all sides are coated with a thin coat of Fusion, and then drain out the excess. Allow the Fusion Self-Etch Primer to cure overnight. At this point, you can apply another coat of Tank Sealer to the inside of your tank being very careful to get all side evenly coated without allowing the Tank Sealer to puddle. Please let us know if that helps and if you have any additional questions. Quote
