Painting gearbox and transfer case

G'day, I'm looking to coat a landcruiser gearbox, transfer case and bellhousing, is the rust seal (along with rust blast and aqua klean) compatible with cast aluminium? Plus, would you recommend a top coat over the rust seal since the gearbox does cop a fair bit of abuse?
