Dave
I'm wondering what's the best way to treat seams in the floor pan of my car. I've just done the first rough clean up of the floor and removed the sound deadening insulation and a thick bead of silicon that was laid over these seams. Should I give them the Aqua Clean / Rust Blast / Rust Seal treatment and then put some kind of sealant over the Rust Seal? I don't think the Rust Seal on it's own will cover the gap. There are also these little hatches in the floor. They weren't sealed with silicon but were covered by the thick layer of sound deadening material. The paint around the edge of the hole will be removed with paint stripper so there'll just be bare metal there. So I assume I'll have to leave the covers off, give the floor the full treatment and then stick them back in place with some sort of sealant. What sort of sealant would be suitable to use to adhere to the Rust Seal? Dave
