Painting 2pak over the top of rust seal

Hi mate i was wondering if i could paint straight over the rust seal with my 2K high build primer then paint as normal? after rubbing back the rust seal for adhesion of course. and would their be any problem with the heat from the extractors as there pretty close to the firewall.If you can paint straight over it this stuff is great i don't have to buy Tie Coat primer as you do with ***-**.Regards James H
