Gas cap stuck

Recommended Posts

mate the only way i got the cap off was make several copies of the key and jst turn the bloody thing out...

however i did this when it was 24hrs into cure time...so wasnt 100% dry....

twisted 3 keys (now not usuable) and get the cap off...

lesson learnt:

1) dont cap the tank (use duct tap to close hole)

2) paint stripper helps (dip key in stripper then try over and over again)

3) wd-40 ( same as above)

4) always swirl sealer and only use a little ( i used abit too much hence the cap gettin stuck and a little puddle forming @ back of tank)
