KBS Coatings
I'm considering RustSeal for coating a small shed-type structure that will be open to the elements and painted inside and out. While I'm optimistic about its properties, I have a few questions: 1. I'm a little concerned about any fumes it might put off initially (it's an enclosure for large birds); how long does it take to outgas completely? We don't want to house the birds until the fumes are gone. 2. Can a gallon be thinned and still be effective on plywood, or should it be applied full strength? If so, how much/little thinning is recommended? 3. If we need to do 2 coats at full strength, a gallon won't be enough. Can one coat suffice to waterproof wood?
